"Matt Sellars grew up in Spokane looking at landscapes that were falling apart. Although immaculately constructed, his sculptures pay homage to a world of lost things, barns swaying in abandoned fields, shotgun shacks and electric coils burned out and tossed aside. From the rubble in his memory, he makes perfect objects with a hitch in their construction.
