The artist's interest in the nature of aggression and possession led him to the rich constellation of stories, histories and influences surrounding the unique, often volatile characters of Billy the Kid, Jane Russell, Bruce Lee, John Wayne, and even a werewolf. Presented along with ink-wash drawings and studies, the larger-than-life busts in True Grit bristle with vibrancy and rawness. |
